I'm with you.
Let's rock.

There are a lot of songs on PH that I return to often and still enjoy despite the fact that the band was still so awkward and really hadn't figured out their sound/voice yet.

Do you hate King of Limbs? I think the album is full of great songs, I just don't love the takes or production of most of it which is why it's so low on my list. The live versions of Bloom blow my face off my face.

I'm not familiar with any live versions. The songs as they are on the record don't do much for me.

For another artist, it might be a successful swing? But for a band as great as Radiohead it feels middling, meandering, unfocused, and unexciting. Nothing grips me. I try to revisit the thing every year or so and it's all I can do to get through it. I just think it's not a record for me. I know others adore it.

I agree with your feelings on the album as it is. There's something about the style in which it was recorded/tracked that was a change, somewhat of a failed experiment for them, IMO. But I recommend giving live versions of these songs a good chance.

Cool, yeah, I'll give those a listen. Thanks!

Seems like we're mostly on the same page. So, I'm sure I'll appreciate these live versions.

:nice: Cool. Might just wanna skip the Colbert one, as Bloom is played in the better quality Basement video right off the bat, too. I just like to see them in the Colbert context, I guess.
