At the outset I noted that this soundtrack got me to the cover, which I really liked. Related in that sense as well as it being another Glen Hansard/Eddie Vedder collaboration.

Ed’s new song made me go back to Flag Day, whose low key charms I appreciate more each time. One of the tricky things that made it take a little time to unlock is that it really feels like there are two separate albums that are smushed together, and I dont see how they align. Cat and Olivia’s songs are in a pretty different space than the one Glen and Ed’s occupied. A run of:
