There's an insistence among Republicans that everyone else is hysterical about COVID. But the rest of the country has been opening up around them as they sit and complain to their phones or computers. The real delusion is spending hours of your life insisting to the internet that COVID broke other people's brains while surrounded by concerts, families out on walks, and kids on their way to school.

Not saying there's anything inherently wrong with work from home, but this demographic basically drives all Democratic Party policies and they seem quite content with Covid restrictions forever.

so why point out that zoomers are running the policies of dems while not demonizing anti-maskers/covids or whatever you want to call them arent pushing the republicans policies (desantis comes to mind)
personally erring on the side of caution seems to be the way to go. if people who wear masks are wrong great, all you got to make fun of them for is wearing masks. anti-maskers are wrong you have death or very long term health issues
Or if an anti masker is wrong they end up with antibodies and the sniffles for a few days. Who are we to argue if someone wants to take that chance? I've seen a lot of more suspect stuff actually glorified on this board that is more dangerous. Drug use, for example. Let people do what they want.

Anyway, Team Nate once again. Only quibble I might have is that I'm more bearish on masks, but he is 100% correct that they are (pun intended) sucking up way too much of the oxygen in the discourse. I'm probably slightly more bullish on booster shots, but the main vaccine mandate needs to be at least one jab.

That's a very reasonable approach, though I am in favor of yearly boosters for those who want them (like, OMG, the flu) and are at least 6 months from their original "fully vaxxed" date.
Only thing missing is large scale federal funding for therapeutic treatments.
