Approaching 21 years of liking Amnesiac better than Kid A.

So many Amnesiac > Kid A folks in here. A frightening rebel force, to be sure.

8. The King Of Limbs
epilogue wrote:Gotcha. Just curious because our rankings are so similar. But I adore Amnesiac. Was going to recommend it to you if you hadn't heard it. But if you don't like it, you don't like it.

I need to listen to King Of Limbs again. It's the only Radiohead album I quit on after two listens. I really didn't like it.
epilogue wrote:Shit, man. I don't know anything. It's all just opinions. But I remember being pretty let down by Kid A when it dropped. That album took longer to grow on me than any other Radiohead album. But Amnesiac grabbed me immediately. I thought, "see, this is what the last album should have been!" Now, maybe Kid A prepared me for Amnesiac more than OK Computer prepared me for Kid A. I don't know. But I've never been one of those fans that likes when bands repeat themselves.

that you've actually been listening to Bittersweet Symphony all these years because it was mislabeled. Kind of like how I download that mp3 off Napster of "Sex Type Thing" by Pearl Jam.

Team Amnesiac is eating itself. Team Kid A will prevail.

I still can’t believe how little love TKOL gets. It’s an unbelievably underrated album.

Again, the songs are pretty great but I'm not a fan of the production.

i listened to it the other day for the first time in a long while, and it's good. the second half of it is the best.

i agree with you though, the basement sessions of TKOL is outstanding.

Any of Radiohead's basement sessions > their respective albums.
