Dune ( Lynch, 1984)

Another movie with a bad reputation that I think I liked more than most. It's definitely weird and some of the changes from the book, I don't love. But it was way more faithful to the book than I'd expected.

It was also the only David Lynch feature I hadn't seen yet. So...

We have to finish it later. My wife who has never seen it, was sceptical when I suggested we see it. However, she found it very interesting, and is looking forward to finishing it after work.

It’s a rewatch for me. I think Billy Bob did a great job. It’s slow moving, but I think the ending will deliver once again.

I must admit I have 0 interest in watching either version of Dune, and I like both Lynch and Villeneuve

I probably only every had any interest in Dune because of David Lynch. But I enjoyed the book and I liked Lynch's take on the film. I'm so fucking excited for this new one though. I think it's looks great.

Ritter, Duvall and a soundtrack by Lanois; saw it in a small theatre in New Haven in '96/'97, wish it was still around.
