I get the appeal but I prefer to heat it up. It's good cold but nowhere near as good as hot

Sometimes the slices are even better when the pizza has cooled down a bit. But straight from the fridge after a night spent there, not so much.

on occasion, in the 80s, the elementary school i went to would serve us bakery pizza (or pizza strips), which was cold and delicious with a thick layer of sauce.

I think most northeast/new england schools did this.

We got McDonalds hamburgers once or twice a year in elementary school. So fkn cool. Just seeing a huge bin full of hundreds of them as a little kid. Mind blowing.

I am puzzled by my OP. I like avocados just fine. And while I can remember a time when I wasn't particularly enamored by them, I don't remember feeling strongly enough about it that I would make this my opening declaration on an Unpopular Food Opinions thread.

Something must have gone down that week

I wish. We only ever had corn dogs, hot dogs, burgers, or some hot plate slop

My school had pretty decent, healthy meals for the most part (it was an expensive Catholic school) that I was completely unappreciative of as a kid. But at the end of every month we had a pizza day and that 100% my shit

I was a sack lunch kid. I rarely got to buy my lunch, it always seemed so cool as a kid, but then I saw it on a friend’s tray and was always like “nah this peanut butter and jelly sandwich will do”
