Fruit Bats covered Siamese Dream in its entirety, and it sounds pretty good!

Also, this is lovely. One of the better lo-fi covers I've heard:

No secret: in less than a week I intend to be present at Sea.Hear.Now, most obviously to see Pearl Jam headline the first night. No promises I make it to the end of the festival but if I do, Sunday night is Smashing Pumpkins, a band I loved from 1993-1995 and then sort of gave up on. To prep myself for the final night, I will now start a Smashing Pumpkins journey I will try to take down quickly so I am ready for the show, starting tomorrow…

That's cool. I should join in. I love SP but somehow I don't actually listen to them that often

Okay yeah you've got me there. Teargarden was absurdly boring aside from a few tracks.

Did you ever end up giving TheFutureEmbrace a revisit, Veg? Maybe we should wait for Mr. Lie to catch up.

I will say that they have improved a lot with time.
BUT i really wish they could re record some of them with another producer and this lineup.

As in the now many prior journeys, I am just happy to spur discussion. I will try to keep as open a mind as I can.

Gish, Siamese Dream, Pisces Iscariot, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Adore, Machina/The Machines of God, Zeitgeist, Oceania, Monuments to a Eulogy, Shiny and Oh So Bright, Cyr. I know there are Teagarden singles out there, but they are not on Spotify so it would take work to get to them but maybe if I have the right research done. Let’s see how much this hurts first.
Oh and I will have to track down Machina II

Correct.VinylGuy wrote:I think Zeitgeist is not on Spotify.
Also very little will be lost from listening to Machina II on YouTube. It's just that kind of album.
And that's Monuments to an *Elegy.

That's not what I was saying at all! It's just that the majority of tracks are raw as fuck, and judging by what made it off of the cutting room floor, it was an aesthetic choice for the entire session.

Gives you the idea of the lack of familiarity. I actually own Zeitgeist on CD. I mean same with the first few albums. Adore is the first I don’t own nor have I heard.
