Re: What movies are you watching?
I watched the Val Kilmer documentary last night. It was pretty underwhelming, I thought. Very one note, very surface level. There is some great stuff worth exploring in it, too. But I wanted to drill down on everything that was brought up. It's too light and easy. And at it's worst turns, it's just self-aggrandizing and kind of "woe-is-me."
But, I think, it ultimately lands in good place. I wanted Val less involved. There's a great documentary in there somewhere.

it might sound insensitive but I don't understand why a documentary on Val Kilmer?

Not insensitive at all. Totally valid question. And I'm not sure the documentary provides a compelling answer, frankly.Ms Harmless wrote:it might sound insensitive but I don't understand why a documentary on Val Kilmer?

Re: What movies are you watching?
yeah it was pretty dull. The behind the scenes clips were nice. I'd rather just watch the raw footage of them hanging out on the Top Gun set or whatever.tree_ wrote:i started this one night but never finished it.. felt like a private video diary more than a movie.. the trailer was way betterepilogue wrote:I watched the Val Kilmer documentary last night.
