Re: What are you currently watching on TV?
we started Reservation Dogs last night. i made it through episode one before getting sleepy at the start of ep. 2.
some things of note:
- Sterling Harjo, the guy who created it is from the Tulsa area. my ex has a childhood friend who is his cousin, and she would tell us about all the cool things he was doing when we'd hang out with her. I think he was doing documentaries at the time (2006/07).
- the kid who plays Cheese is from Midwest City; other than the rapping twins, he's the only actor from Oklahoma in this so far.
- the rapping twins. when they first appeared in a scene, my wife laughed, and said, "those guys had a booth at the Old Paris Flea Market!" i guess they'd perform in this booth at the flea market.
- the song playing when they're stealing that truck--i think it's then--is Class Historian by BRONCHO, a band from Norman/OKC. I'm guessing more Oklahoma musicians' music will feature later in the season, but that's all i've caught so far. still pretty cool.
so far, it's good. it's cute. the kid twirling the pool cue when they drop off the stolen truck is funny, as is the spirit that Bear sees.

We just finished Kevin Can Fuck Himself and I fucking loved it. It's not without its problems but Annie Murphy is outstanding and the show has some moments of remarkable writing and it pulls off its ingenious premise very elegantly

Rewatching Mad Men. The pilot is too heavy handed and Cosgrove is a real jerk in this one.
Great show though. I watched way too many episodes.

It's really silly but I liked it. Some very clever writing towards the end of the season
I didn't like Rosie Perez's character or her role in the story

The late night shows start at “11:35” but it’s really more like 11:38.
