Quick Escape was perfect in this.

The Gigaton songs I thought all sounded great. Felt like maybe that last bridge towards the end of Never Destination was missing or short?

I did not expect them to use the vocal looping machine for the last minute of DotC. I think I was expecting Eddie to pick a lane on that and repeat. It sounded amazing the way they did it. Quick Escape was also killer. I was stunned that they opened with 3 Gigaton songs, they apparently were not kidding that they were excited to play the new songs. I am pretty sure they played nothing between Yield and Gigaton though, which was kind of a bummer, though really I love having them back and in good form.

I'm happy, all things considered, that they ignored ST-Lightning Bolt; if they replaced that with something from Binaural-Riot Act we'd really be cooking on gas

Other than Gigaton, the newest freshest Pearl Jam song played was Wishlist and Given to Fly. I cannot complain since we did get Red Mosquito and Present Tense. Oldies but goodies.

I keep thinking about how cool Daughter into WMA was; I've been wanting them to do that forever, since Daughter ends with the same chords WMA begins with

Remember that muffled soundcheck recording from 2013, when someone posted a short clip of some seemingly monstrous song? And people were kind of speculating it might be Sirens because there was some siren-like guitar sound at the beginning? And it turned out to be Infallible, which isn't monstrous at all?

Anyway, I just listened to Quick Escape from the festival last weekend and realized that's the monstrous song I had hoped that old soundcheck was giving us. Took eight more years, but they got there.

I love seeing Jeff's stomping in that song...and Stone killed it.

As a matter of fact, the intro of Infallible is very similar to Quick Escape.
