Republicans sure fucked up by gesticulating and screaming for decades about how an endless series of popular ideas related to healthcare, food stamps, social security, and wealth taxes were all socialism. It was a quick win in the moment, but they systematically destroyed both the public understanding and the negative connotations of the word.

Remember when a subset of conservative media accused JOHN BOEHNER of being socialist? Ahh. We’ve had such good times together.

Some comment mentioned something about poltical views fashionable in areas like Marin County. Saw a ton of BLM signs last time I was up there. In front of single family homes and the like. Black Lives Matter (preferrably those lives stay across a bridge from here)

Nimby-ism, including a particularly allergic reaction to public housing tends to result in almost no one being able to move in, but especially those from neighboring, more diverse areas.

As a fuck you to his neighbors who prevented him from expanding his studio, George Lucas donated some of his land to public housing, if I'm not mistaken.
