Anybody know if the guy mentioned as the coworker/housemate is the same one who began drafting a biography about Eddie's early days trying to make it as a musician...

The writing itself is clearly amateur and in need of an editor but I always thought the material had some interesting insights about Eddie's early musical taste and inspirations. I haven't listened to the released demos yet, but they might be a good companion to the biography draft.

In 1998 I paid $250 to get access to some of these tunes. I can understand a fan's enthusiasm if they hadn't heard them before. Sometimes I still hum Believe You me.

Before everything was easy to get on the internet, this kinda stuff was way up there, i know i was looking at a box set around 94 or 95 that was gonna run around $300, and if i remember right it was just 4 cds, 3 of pj live and demos and i think something for temple of the dog.

The Who played a huge role in Eddie’s life while growing up in Chicago and San Diego. The Tommy Boy and Quadrophenia albums simply blew him away.

Yeah, I wasn't really recommending it as beautiful (or, I guess - musically accurate) prose. I mainly find the desire to be Bono interesting given that within a few short years Ed seemed to only mention guys like Ian Mackaye to anyone who would listen.

I also like the little anecdote about him being so into the music the guy can't stop him from beating up his equipment.

I've seen Weird Al play twice now and each was one of the most fun shows I've ever seen.
