I'd see Ed live with that band.

my very first show. i remember the first drum beats or last exit, missing a lot of hail hail to try and get out of the press, feeling like john popper coming on stage for even flow was a bigger deal than it probably was (anything could happen!), predicting whipping and really impressing the stranger next to me, and noticing the rain until it stopped during indifference

Chad Smith :heartbeat: I dig that bass too.

Maybe he does a mini tour with this crew eventually.

Check out that cool spiral cymbal Chad's got there, I wonder if that is normal in his RHCP set up? Didn't get a lot of use in Drive here.

It's striking how much more 'performative' Ed is now when he sings - swinging the mic stand, dramatic hand gestures, etc.

I can't get over how much this guy looks like Will Ferrell. I've never watched live RHCP videos before, so the novelty is still quite new to me.

I think it's overstated.

They look only vaguely similar and even then it's a stretch.

Fort Lauderdale '96 was my first show and it's still the best thing I've seen.
