Eddie Vedder - Earthling

When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

Nice, well-crafted geezer song.

I prefer him doing geezer music to Tom Petty cosplay, to be honest. He's got more of a knack for it.

I’m glad Ed is doing something different. He’s always had a knack for melody and at heart he’s a singer songwriter of this type. He’s done trying hard to be some hip avant-garde punk rocker or something. I don’t know.

He actually sounded really great last night and it was a special moment. I enjoyed the song but it’s not like I really know it to comment on it.

Ed seems reborn. He’s very very very excited and animated with this new band. He seems completely comfortable in his age and what he has to offer. The band has absolutely
Given him new life.

The shows with the band have been incredible. I’m so excited to be part of this ride and look forward to the album.

Fantastic.

Also advice to you RM curmudgeons:

Have as much fun in life as Chad smith has playing drums.

Also a great moment during long way;

Ed was putting out all the rockstar guitar moves while staring at his younger daughter who came up and attempted back ground vocals. Ed totally putting on a show - in an idiot dad sort of why….

She just kept giving him a look as of saying “god dad you’re such a dork and stop embarrassing me” as teenager might do.

Ed rules. He’s an old happy dork now.

He’s also got this other band that has him excited that released an album last year, where together they knocked out a few excellent arrangements and even added a tour musician to get the most of the new songs. Hopefully, Ed enjoys that band as much as this one…

He does. He’s been gushing about those other musicians in that other band and how excited he is to play those new songs. He also was saying how nervous he is because those other musicians are there watching him.

Ed is a treat

Only the people who dislike things that I like are miserable negative curmudgeons with dead black hearts. I however am free to dislike anything I want because my heart is pure and my eyes are clear

Everyone is free to dislike anything they want.

I just hope we all find something we love in life as much as Chad smith loves the drums.

He’s such a joy to watch !

I'm just teasing. I didn't like that song but Chad Smith is cool (shame about his band though)

And I truly did not mean to correlate not liking Ed’s new music with being a curmudgeon. It was more of a general comment to RM which is widely known for being a salty bunch of pricks. Lovingly so.
