When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

it's not an experience you have to have.
Wrong, I have to. No matter how bad, I simply have to.

I got an idea of it now, thanks. Just another little question, is the theme of the lyrics something like "no matter how much money rich people have, our love makes us richer so we are the true haves"?
I'm not Dev. But I suppose he's a cool dude since someone thinks I'm him.

seriously though, remember how on that touring band dvd they had a lady sign-languaging in some of the shows? maybe he one day decided to cut costs and try to do it himself?

I'm sorry my source wasn't some blue check on twitter. The point is he's rich as fuck.

When I first read that on the setlist, I wondered who the hell The HAY-ves were.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Thanks for the detailed info, everyone. :) I was fearing this could be a political protest song, but I'm relieved to know it's a teenage love song.

I blame everyone in his circle who doesn't call him lame when he's being lame. Maybe he should've had a cool, delinquent son instead of loving daughters, if only for the sake of his art. "Dad... wtf are you doing? This shit sucks ass"

I just realized I think the lamest part in that video is when he's introducing the song he talks about it like people are going to be blown away by its genius. Something like, "You people will remember this forever as the first time performed live!" Which, you know, might've been cool if it didn't SUCK ASS

Got through it! So the second half of the song improves, but really it’s demonstrative of how good “The Earthlings” sound. Perhaps Eddie is trying to catch on with that yacht rock thing? Just saying there’s a mighty thick line between Bruce ballads and Rod Stewart ballads and Eddie got a running start and a huge effin leap over that line. C’mon man.

Tried to listen a second time. Couldn't get through it.

At this point in his career, I would be happy liking 3-4 songs out of 12. Right now, we're 0-2. Hot start!

Yikes.

Nobody in that group has the balls/clout to tell Ed no.

Jeff Ament has such balls/clout. Thank God.
