I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I am watching Do The Right Thing for the first time and did a quick Google search for the younger Italian brother, realized, "Oh, yeah! He's one of the parking garage attendants from Ferris Beuller." (The guy on the right in the gif below.)

But then I did some digging and found out...this guy was in Sonic Youth??? He was apparently the first real drummer they had: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Edson

Do The Right Thing is an amazing film. Not to cross threads too much, but that's another example of how violence in film isn't necessarily a turn off for me. Sometimes it's vital and impactful in all the best ways.

i make a lot of typos, but this is a weird one.

Dew the Write Thing, amirite?!
I was thinking of Sal charging $2 for extra cheese on a slice in 1989. That's like $45 now.

Random Magnolia question (spoilers for a 22-year-old movie)—are we meant to believe that Frank killed that dog at the end?

I had a dream about that guy once, about a decade ago. He's also in the Mario Bros movie and Jim Jarmusch's Stranger than Paradise.
