late to the party on that post, but it is interesting how many alternative giants struggled in 96 despite releasing some pretty great albums. Also interesting that in many ways the albums they put out were all a bit more 'difficult' than many of ones that came before (No Code, New Adventures in Hi-Fi, Down on the Upside, Tiny Music, Pop)
