I think the hall of fame is just one of those things Eddie is goofy about cause a bunch of his heroes are in there.
Was that interview from yesterday definitely fake? How the hell were the photos pulled off? And damn thats a lot of effort. Had eddies voice down though.
He's pretty reverent of the stuff he likes. I'm sure the concept of a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame runs right up his alley....just as I'm sure he doesn't really look all that closely at the process or organization.
I haven't looked in a long time...maybe Suzan Evans stepped down. That would help a lot.
There are a lot of quotes like this from current and former board members floating around out there:
"At one point (in 1999) Suzan Evans lamented the choices being made because there weren't enough big names that would sell tickets to the dinner. That was quickly remedied by dropping one of the doo-wop groups being considered in favor of a 'name' artist."

Not surprising in the least. I actually had no idea how big of a deal it was or that people looked up to it till after I got into pearl jam and saw all the inductions ed did, I'm pretty sure its never been on tv in England of anything.

The Lightning Bolt is playing havoc with the Internets.

He's more forthcoming in that interview than any of them have been for a while. He's unapologetic about taking longer with records, he admits to courting sentimentality now, screw what anyone says about it... good to know he's still that self-aware really.
