I read these last year; I still think of them often, but by the end I feel things got a bit convoluted. Still quite a ride, though!epilogue wrote:Hollow by B. Catling.

Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard. While not a sequel, per se, to The Switch, it is a continuation of the main characters from that book. Both are fantastic.
Let me tell you, Homer Simpson is cock of nothing!

Totally. Yeah, this is a brand new, separate thing. It's also fantasy. And it's also violent and grotesque and strange as shit, though.

Re: What are you currently reading?
I've never read another book on Homer, so I don't know if it's new, but the interpretation of the Illiad and Odyssey as a memory of a more ancient clash between the civilized urban cities of Asia minor and barbaric tribes not long removed from the steppes (early Greeks) is interesting.Malloy wrote:alternatively, we really need another book about homer?

Re: What are you currently reading?
each time i see rm fighting about Promising Young Woman, which i've not seen and likely never will, i think of this quite good novel. suzanne spent some time here and is cool, and dorothy is one of my favorite presses. anyway, i'm rereading it now.
