Dolphins and Bears, last glory days were mid to late 80s. Have had a few decent teams since.4/5 wrote:This is actually pretty good.spike wrote:Dolphins = Bears

Jets and Lions are perennial inept franchises.
Bills and Vikings have good/great teams now, and have flirted with greatness (0-4 Super Bowl records).
Pats and Packers have had steady success for the last 20-25 years. Most division titles, etc.

Yeah it's really good. The Bears/Dolphins is probably the weakest of the bunch. Miami was consistently good but never great throughout the 90s and really until like 2003. And Miami was great in the 70s.
But I just remembered the Wannstache connection, so I guess I'm back to great comparison!

I dunno, I like the comparison because neither team can seem to develop a quarterback or hang onto a coach, keeping them in perpetual NFL purgatory.

Re: the miami dolphins
Yeah, it works for the last two decades pretty well. Works in the 80s. 70s and 90s not so much. The Dolphins were very consistently good for three decades and have been in purgatory ever since. The Bears kinda had that one run for the mid to late 80s where they were good but outside of that most of the last 5 decades haven't been much for them. I think they're more reliant on even more ancient history than the Dolphins.spike wrote:I forgot about that connection lol.4/5 wrote:Yeah it's really good.
