LEGO is removing gender stereotypes. I haven't read an article, but I can't imagine the massive undertaking this is going to be.

What the fuck does this even mean.

So now I can buy the Seinfeld Lego set for example, and instead of distinct characters (like a balding George and an Elaine with long curly hair) I get four completey nondescript Lego characters in white t-shirts and blue jeans?

Fuck these people.

I don't know if they intend to un-gender characters.

The company would not elaborate on whether it is planning any changes to specific toys or marketing campaigns. But the spokesperson highlighted some of Lego's ongoing efforts, like testing all product franchises with both boys and girls and publicly spotlighting strong male and female role models in interviews and at events.

Given how the structure of the Lego bodies are so consistent, and you can switch the head and hair around, it was always very easy to create a gender bending Lego person if you wanted.

I've always said they could just put two faces on the head (which they do most of the time anyhow) and give two choices of hair pieces. Every kit becomes gender neutral with .0001 cents worth of paint and one additional piece.
