Re: Steve Albini fans
I'm a fan. Big Black influenced Cobain and just maybe Buzz Osbourne and Trent Reznor.

I don't know who this Albini character is, but you're in good company (with me).

Re: Steve Albini fans
If you are referring to me, make no mistake it isn't about him making fun of Pearl Jam. That seems like you are dumbing down me and the criticism. It is because his takes are more of "this type of art is bad and wrong and I don't know how anyone can like it but not like art made by my fringe friends that no one has heard of". Posting on social media to get attention to the fact that he doesn't like a popular band and is somehow cool because of it seems like nothing more than an attention grab. That and he wears black tshirts.tragabigzanda wrote:
I am currently getting a kick out of a few RMers' desire to rip Albini down because he made fun of Pearl Jam once.

R u srs?tragabigzanda wrote:Probably the biggest personality cue I've taken from Albini (and Ralph Nader, to a certain extent) is to just talk earnestly and directly to things as I see them; and to be willing to be proven wrong; and when I'm wrong, to just kind of shrug and say "Welp, yeah I was wrong, on to the next one."

Re: Steve Albini fans
i started 1000 Hurts, and got about 3-4 songs in before switching to Dude Incredible. I like the opener on DI.
we'll see about the rest.

Dad, you should check the opener for shellac's second album. The one with the spacecraft on the cover.
