It’s unfair to argue “gross” bc everyone definition of good varies. One man’s gross is another man’s pleasure. To me, they are gross bc I appreciate homemade cinnamon buns that are a practical size. I don’t need a cinnamon bun that is suuuuper soft and spongey, and is the size of a corgi’s head. I also don’t want to eat a cinnamon bun that is half my daily calorie intake. Again, that’s a personal thing, some people don’t care. I also don’t enjoy eating 1000 calories in an airport or a mall: when I’m about to fly for 4 hours, or try on a pair of jeans.
