7 total. His relationship with his second wife is a lot more interesting than his first I think.
But she’s nowhere near as pretty.
tough call.
Betty is MUCH prettier than Megan and her Jagger/Tyler mouth. Nowhere remotely near close.

I prefer his second wife, no doubt about it.

She wasn't very hot in the fat years.

Betty goes from sweet and innocent to unrelenting bitch in record time. Megan's disintegration happens a lot more slowly. Much sadder to watch.

I suspect there were some scheduling conflicts with January Jones in the later seasons. Seems like she's just kinda there.

I would contend that Mad Men is the only fully realized masterwork in television history

Probably agree with Argo. The Americans comes to mind but I haven’t gone back and watched it again since it aired. The Wire had three phenomenal seasons and two meh ones, most of the other marquee shows fizzled out or made themselves into Events that nobody really cared about a week later. Twin Peaks is a contender, though. I think the weird way it unfolded (two series separated by two plus decades, movies, etc) might work in its favor. Breaking Bad wasn’t that great.

I would tend to agree. But I've still got some real gaps in my experience (Deadwood, Sopranos, The Wire, West Wing, etc)

Twin Peaks is up there for sure. Though that patch mid season two maybe keeps it from "fully realized" status. That and the uncertainty whether it's over yet.

The Americans is also a great call. Like you, I haven't revisited the show yet. But I think this one might also be a fully realized masterpiece. Though I still prefer Mad Men, I think.
