Eddie on a new Elton John track

When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

Yeeeeeah.

My favourite PJ-related thing is definitely not this detuned, overproduced cock rock cover from three "legends of rock."

File it under I won't ever listen to this again. Actually, file it in the wastebin.

Hadn't heard this before. Much better than the Elton song. Actual rock.
I didn’t like it much. Bruce and Eddie are good, but Tom Morello doesn’t work for me out of Rage
Great in Audioslave.

I won’t put this version of H2H on heavy rotation, but hope to never hear the Elton song again.

I love hearing Ed belt that verse out.

Cover sucks and it’s super rawk but definitely love hearing Ed have fun and belting out again

my first thought was 'saturday's alright for fighting'. also 'bennie and the jets' on speed. i barely recognize elton john's voice on here at first. the songs is fine, but its super cool elton john wanted to record with eddie vedder. it kinda blows my mind.

i thought highway to hell was terrible, which is a shame b/c i love all 3. its way, way, way too over produced. i didn't think the elton john track was terrible, but its forgettable. EV's cover of REM's 'Drive' is amazing and makes me completely look passed these other 2 songs.

Yeah, I definitely feel the Saturday Night vibe, upbeat fun.
It’s okay, I definitely like the Ed vocals better than Elton’s.
I’ve grown to appreciate Elton’s catalog a lot more as an adult so it was cool to hear he & Ed collaborated but Elton’s best stuff is mostly at least 35 years old. Those ‘70s piano tunes, mostly ballads, that made him famous are still fantastic and there’s a bunch of them. The song that won him his second Oscar, just a couple years ago, really wasn’t that great.

I think this is a good description. I don’t think I’d ever get through an Elton journey, but I might listen to the greatest hits from 50 years ago.

I enjoy John's catalog quite a bit but man are there significant peaks among incredible valleys, Taupin's involvement is a fairly important variable. That said, Songs from the West Coast is an album I always have in regular rotation.
