i agree thats a movie with a lot of good stuff, but the main thing for me is that it felt boring sometimes. I was watching it on Imax and nearly felt sleep during some chunks.

I feel the sequel will be better because more Zendaya improves anything.

There were just a handful of scenes that i felt the camera lingered far too long. Pausing on boring faces or dialogue that seemed to drag. That happened rarely but enough times for me to think "Okay, i get it, lets move on" and maybe they could have fit in some better exposition or more explosions.

I look forward to a rewatch though! I did love it. Also just loved being back at the theater!

I imagine people used to all those Disney superhero sci-fi movies would have a hard time with this one. I bet I love it.

100% this. She's awesome.

Zendaya is indeed awesome. I was a bit of a Zendaya skeptic until I saw her in Euphoria.

As for the sequel...

Who returns?
Spoiler: show
Unlike Daft Twat, I thought the cast was fantastic. Brolin? Presumed dead. Oscar isaac? Dead. Momoa? Dead.

Javier was great and can carry a heavy load, Zendaya was/will be awesome, and the jaw line of Chalamet can carry it.
Curious what other characters/casting might bring for the next 1 or two films.

The best part about having read the book before seeing the movie is that even before seeing the movie I can click on spoiler tags.

i dunno, this movie is mostly exposition. doesn't seem hard to comprehend.

unless your point is the marvel/star wars crowd would struggle without quippy dialogue.

What I think I mean is, that from what I hear, it doesn't seem to cater to people who've learned to watch movies with ADHD colored glasses
