Re: Atlanta Braves
The bad news is the Braves have scored 5 runs in 23 innings. They’ve had their chances for more but haven’t gotten some timely hits. The good news is they’re up 2-1.
I wonder if the pen will up the rest of the Series. The Astros lineup is too good to be nearly no hit and I wonder if they’re about to break out. Houston’s using their pen a bunch too though.

This merch line is as bad as it is at a Pearl Jam concert.

Re: Atlanta Braves
I’m going to step on that stone.
A couple times last night you heard the tomahawk chant and saw a fair number of fans doing the chop. The organization has really downplayed that this season; the organist no longer plays the music, there’s nothing on the big screen, there’s no big drum that gets it started. But people are going to do it, partly because it’s a 30 year tradition but equal parts to piss off the libs. In today’s environment the chant/chop is un-woke. I know there was some Native Americans who protested 30 years but I’m also curious how many people are truly offended.
Another thing is that MLB moved the All-Star game from Atlanta following the legislature changing our election laws. It’s interesting how many local conservatives who said baseball shouldn’t mix with politics are now gloating how the World Series is here, and mixing baseball with politics. They’re also bringing up Stacy Abrams, who repeatedly said she did want the All Star game moved.
Oh yeah, Trump’s going to the game tonight.

They still do the chop over the PA and on the auxiliary screens. They really only stopped it for the final playoff game of 2019.Biff Pocoroba wrote:I’m going to step on that stone.

I really don't want to root for the Astros, but the constant Tomahawk Chop chants are making it difficult

Why is this notable? Because his fat ass is taking up 2 seats at a sold out game?Biff Pocoroba wrote:Oh yeah, Trump’s going to the game tonight.

Trump was vocal about MLB moving the All-Star game, I’m glad that story came and went.Bammer wrote:Why is this notable? Because his fat ass is taking up 2 seats at a sold out game?Biff Pocoroba wrote:Oh yeah, Trump’s going to the game tonight.

Re: Atlanta Braves
Out scored 9-1 after the slam; have to go through this at least once more.
Both pens are taxed but the Astro bats seem to be waking up. But honestly anything can happen and I have no idea how the next 1-2 games will go.

Re: Atlanta Braves
I think he was expecting Freddie to goto 2nd base so the throw was going to be coming from Dansby. He’s a great fielder, but that play was all sorts of f’d.Biff Pocoroba wrote:My God is it any more Atlanta sports luck if Fried’s ankle is hurt?

Freddie’s HR gave me a big smile and goosebumps.
No way they let him walk, back the money truck up.

Six outs away.
I’m getting antsy but not quite the anxiety up by seven.
