Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I'm surprised by how few people have mentioned Dumb and Dumber. Maybe it's just nostalgia talking, but to me that is absolutely top tier comedy.

I generally look at early Carrey as being a lot like Jerry Lewis: Transformational at the time, but not very funny today.

This is largely true, but I think Dumb and Dumber is more than just a Jim Carrey movie.

You should maybe give it another watch.
