So the show Invasion just got really good with this week's episode. The intensity has been dialed up a few notches and I love the unknown about it all.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Morning Show S1E8, the Las Vegas shooting flashback. The prior episode had the best scene yet, with Mia the producer losing her shit on the studio mic. But this was probably the best episode yet. That ending in Fred’s office gave me chills, and Carrell did a great job of playing a monster.

Finished S1 tonight. Loved it. Watched the ads for S2 and I’m pretty sure it’s not gonna be as good.

Three eps into S2 and so far it’s great.

Morning Show S1E8, the Las Vegas shooting flashback. The prior episode had the best scene yet, with Mia the producer losing her shit on the studio mic. But this was probably the best episode yet. That ending in Fred’s office gave me chills, and Carrell did a great job of playing a monster.

Finished S1 tonight. Loved it. Watched the ads for S2 and I’m pretty sure it’s not gonna be as good.

Three eps into S2 and so far it’s great.

S2 E 1 of Morning Show was awful. It took me forever to get through it to be honest.

Billy Crudup is incredible though so i stuck with it.

Part of what bummed me out the most about S2 E1 was the shift in BC's character. It felt like they didn't understand the character they'd created and I was worried it was just gonna get worse. I haven't watched another episode yet. But I'm not totally off the show yet. I'll keep going. But I was so bummed by that first ep that I haven't been pumped to keep going. But I'll get there.

I though the first Ep here was just all over the place. Or, story whiplash. They crammed so much into the space between last season and this new season to establish a potential new story.

Just calm down, writers.

Though, it seems like by the end of the episode we began to swing into a single narrative. So.....Yea ill get back to it.

My wife and I enjoyed season 1 of Morning Show. I agree season 2, ep 1 was really, really bad. Got halfway through episode 2 and stopped. Maybe I’ll pick it back up, but I don’t know…

I thought S1 E1 was some really smart writing: they updated all the characters’ story lines in a meaningful way, weaving in the earliest days of coronavirus, and a little Trump stuff. And the scene with Aniston on the phone on New Year’s, outside the party and listening to Crudup’s pitch, was really well crafted.

Not an amazing episode bu any stretch, but it served its purpose very well. Crudup’s character is doing great in eps 2+3. He’s not the same guy as he was in S1, but he gets called out on that in a serious way.
