Yeah, looks very impressive. This new console generation needed a racing game to show off what they can do.

What’s the difference between Gran Turismo and Forza? Haven’t played any of either

It’s been many years since I played a GT game but Forza Horizon is an arcade, open world racer. I am not into racing games, and not when into the Forza Motorsport series because it’s more realistic, but Horizon is just a super gorgeous, super chilled out game where you can do tons of different types or races both online and offline. I was surprised at how hooked I got into 4, but it’s just a totally laid back game that you can hop into anytime.

Gran Turismo has a stronger focus on real car physics and locations. At its core it's a race sim that can be dumbed down to the arcade style, while Forza's default setting is more arcade-y (think GRID) with some tuning capabilities.

Yeah I've been debating getting a Series X and Forza is helping to make that argument. Used to be a big arcade racer fan but there really hasn't been a strong one out for years on the Sony side.

FH5 is incredible. Been playing it early access with the bundle since Thursday. Gorgeous game and a lot to do. Probably will pass Psychonauts 2 as my GOTY.

Didn't play a ton of games this year and missed several big titles (newborn baby and all). I'd say Returnal was probably my favorite, but Metroid Dread is also up there.

If this happens a week after FH5 drops, I’m saying goodbye to my family.

Starting with Halo (or maybe Forza), this could be the greatest 12 month stretch of games in the history of video games.

Time to (finally) move over 1998.

I feel like Breath of the Wild 2 needs to come within that window to be true. You may be right though. So many games were delayed to next year and developers will be getting the hang of next gen too.

I assume it is. And Horizon, Elden Ring, Gran Tourismo, Baynetta are some other AAA games that seem like locks. Maybe God of War too. That's a very top heavy list!

I'm seriously hoping we see GoW by Fall 2022.

Saw Elden Ring in action earlier, think I need to be paying that one more attention. Not really familiar with it.

Still strongly considering taking the dive and buying an Xbox. Forza looks amazing but really looking forward to the Perfect Dark remake--hoping Crystal Dynamics doesn't F it up....

So the long rumored PS5 remake that will be announced in December may actually be
Spoiler: show
Chrono Cross.
Definitely didn't see that coming.

And rumor has it there will be a Zelda announcement / trailer at the Game Awards in 2 weeks. I'm guessing new trailer but still no date. On a side note, Grezzo, the team that remade Link's Awakening was rehired earlier this year - a remake of Oracle of Ages / Seasons might be on the horizon after BotW2 is released.
