Damn, they even got Bolo back.
I'm sure it'll stink, but I'll probably still watch it.

Re: The Cinematic Motion Picture News Thread
I mean, I go to the movies a lot. Like, once a week. But nothing can ruin a movie like the other people in the theatre. Making noise, talking, running around, yelling. I like going to the theatres that have assigned seating so that I can see beforehand how many people are in there. If it's too many, I do something else (I'm usually by myself). The thing I like about the movies is that the screen is big and I have to watch it in one sitting since I don't have a remote with a pause button constantly taunting my short attention span. At home, I tend to watch movies in thirty or forty minute chunks with breaks in between. I can't remember the last time I watched a movie at home in one sitting. Again, I usually watch movies at home alone. So, yeah, I'm not totally on board with the idea that the great thing about the movies is that there are other people in the theatre. That rarely adds to the experience for me

Re: The Cinematic Motion Picture News Thread
is so weird when you guys describe the experience of going to see a movie in the theatre as something awful. Maybe crowds here in Argentina are wonderful i dont know, but i always have a great time.

If I could always have the theater to myself (by which I mean just me or me and my friends that I go to movies with sometimes), I would do that.

More times than not i end up having a bad experience. People seem to be getting worse and worse. This attention span thing you speak of above, i relate to, but unfortunately many people are unable to control themselves at theaters now. Up and down, phone out, talking, etc..etc...
just stay home.
I do love the big screen though

Re: The Cinematic Motion Picture News Thread
That's partly why I exclusively go to Alamo Drafthouse now. It's the only place in the city where people aren't super shitty and the venue is so strict about talking and having phones out during the movie. I love it. I can actually deal with people at Alamo. But that's it.

I like going to movies at like 2 o'clock on a Tuesday. I usually get the whole place to myself. It's just nice to sit in a big dark room and eat popcorn for awhile.

I already work from home and I don't have a room that big anyway.wease wrote:Can’t you do this at home?BurtReynolds wrote: It's just nice to sit in a big dark room and eat popcorn for awhile.
