I'm having a hard time identifying the guitar sounding instruments in said songs, anyone know what they might be?

I'm also trying to place the quarter inch cables used in said recordings. It sounds like radioshack brand, but I'm no expert.

I'm pretty sure they're not 4 gabillion dollar lossless oxygen free cables. We'd better ask chud, he'd probably know.
