He should know that if he wants to show us how enthusiastic he is about the album then he should just ghostride the whip. Some footage of that would really amp up my anticipation for this record.harmless wrote:Shhh, what a silly critique! It just reminds me of what my mum used to do whenever she walked in the room and I was listening to Pearl Jam.

Stone is thinking : yes
And that goofy dancing is exactly what he does on stage anyway.
It's lamer when you consider the option that that sequence was probably was entirely planned out lol.

The second verse has specific instructions on how to do it (around the 1:25 mark)...harmless wrote:Ghostride the whip?Lament wrote:He should know that if he wants to show us how enthusiastic he is about the album then he should just ghostride the whip. Goofy dancing as spontaneous gig thing can be forgiven. They actually planned this, though. It was like a scene which was deliberated over. It's staged and contrived.stupidmop wrote:Stone is thinking : yes

Drinking a Coronoa in his car with Danny and listening to Getaway while parked in your axe throwing yard...yup.

Contrived isn't Ed's style? Well that's a matter of opinion.dimejinky99 wrote:Doesn't feel contrived to me.

Either way, the blame lies with Danny Clinch more than Ed.

If I was going to do a short video to advertise a new poetry book, I wouldn't have a scene where I got overly excited about my own poems, jizzed over the pages or anything. I just don't think it looks good.

They probably planned the accidental music, i dont think they decided 'and then, we dance'. They could have taken it out or they could have said 'Ed you sucker, we're leaving the dorky dancing in muahaha'.harmless wrote:Goofy dancing as spontaneous gig thing can be forgiven. They know they don't look cool here lol.
More contrived to me are the cool blurry shots of ed lookin all cool and shit

'just stand there for a second ed, no! no smiling'

That's a good thought. I like the idea that they know they don't look cool. Perhaps my laughter reaction was the one they intendedstupidmop wrote:They probably planned the accidental music, i dont think they decided 'and then, we dance'.
