Lately it seems there's been an increase in posters acting as though the opinions of RM's users are able to be generalised. It's annoying and not remotely true.

I'm in a band. We head bang to our own stuff when we're done with it. There's a sense of accomplishment, and if you love music, when you write it, record it, and get to listen to it, there's nothing better. Anyone who thinks it's masturbatory or 'silly' can go fuck themselves right off a fucking cliff. There is no musician in the world who hasn't enjoyed the music they've committed to, and if they say they don't like it, they're liars. If they say they don't listen to it, they're liars. And if I had the kind of talent these guys have following them around, like Apatow and Clinch, I don't know what the fuck I'd do other than think, "Holy shit people, SMART people like my music." And then I'd just head bang some more. So much so people would think I'm quite autistic.
