lets go with this stupid hot take
so youre saying a gun and the car should be treated the same
so every person who owns a gun should have to buy insurance in case someone is injured by his gun
a person who owns a gun should have to take license renewals every few years and if he fails his right to operate a gun will be suspended until they can prove they are competent.
if you are caught using a gun while under the influence then before you can use that gun again you will have to blow into a device to prove you have no alcohol in your system before a round enters the chamber
am i doing this right?
How dare you use logic in 'Merica?
Tragedy not mass murder, SUV not violent racist. There is a point when even the most progressive person has to recognize that this is intentional.

You've got Fox for Republicans, MSNBC for Democrats and CNN for people with no brain.
Sure, that's a given at this point since they rely on advertising dollars and thus target specific consumers, but there is a difference between presenting something with a spin ("Looting" vs "Smash and Grab"... or "Insurrection") and basically pretending something entirely different happened.

Even if that's true it doesn't really change the situation that much beyond being another example of media using a "narrative" in place of a "fact" to get clicks.
The students still thought it was the shooter and behaved as such... their fear... their behavior is what resonates in that video. And parents it's one thing to know your kid has done active shooter drills, it's another to see it played out in a real situation where you could easily imagine your child in that room.

I feel like the life has been sucked out of me watching that.
Yeah same. My two little siblings attend high school in the US and I worry about this a lot. How did things get this way
Obviously America has a serious gun problem, but that doesn't really explain why so many kids in this country want to murder their fellow students. I really don't get it.

Bullying scales with the internet. I would not be the least bit surprised if the football player he shot was involved.

Is bullying given as an excuse here? Because these shitheads are usually the bullies not the bullied.
