Super bleak ep. There was a post from an extra at the party in one of the reddit threads for this episode. Apparently there were a bunch of themed rooms and decorative touches that weren't shown. Like a baby crib/boxing ring with drinks in baby bottles, a classroom with desks where the teacher's desk was the bar, and a huge painting of Kendall in the style of a Biggie album cover. And I guess the building they showed Ken looking at in the last scene used to be a popular suicide jumping spot. Hmm.

One of my best friends from childhood had a family dynamic not unlike the Roy siblings. Obviously not to that same degree. But I hated going over there for dinner. They would start out friendly with each other, then identify a weak spot in one of them and relentlessly pick at that person the entire dinner. It was so uncomfortable. Plus they put mushrooms in everything. Fuck mushrooms.

The GoJo stuff is going over my head a bit. What is its real world equivalent? Netflix? Or is it more of a back end/software thing?

I think it is supposed to be like a back end software/coding/social media type of thing.

Oh my god I gasped when we all realized he snet a dick pic to his dad. Holy hell!

The entire dirty talk/ sex scene with shiv and Tom.

They’re all just horrible people but play it so well. It’s layered. The trauma of their upbringing and the damage all that money has done to every single one of them. The scene with shiv and her mom was damn near heartbreaking. “I should have just had dogs”

This show causes me physical pain. Like, I feel bad the whole time I watch it. Almost sick and definitely sad---but not in a cathartic way, just an unsatisfying and deadening misery. It's the best show on TV

You know what the weirdest part of this being the best show on TV is? It's not even that good! There is almost zero nuance or subtlety. They all just say and do exactly the thing that every episode and every scene is about. They just say it out loud. They just do the thing. In a way that I don't think will benefit from re-watching. This might be a show that I can only enjoy once. But my god do I enjoy it this first time around

That last episode was bonkers. Several major scenes all stuffed into one episode.
