Re: The Running Thread
Tomorrow begins a week of no running before race training. I'll probably run at some point in the week.

Re: The Running Thread
Went for a hike this AM and thought some about this piece.
I love this paragraph.
I love this paragraph.
2021 was the year my relationship with running completely changed for the better. I can't wait for seeing what can happen in races for 2022.How many of us have sat, Scott Jurker-like, at the finish line as the back-of-the-packers have come in, sometimes just moments before the cutoff? I mean, sure, the folks at the front suffered–running fast is totally hard!–but the ones at the back always seem to have a look of utter transcendence on their faces, written down their legs in mud, scratched into their arms, and carved into lines on their faces. I love these people. These people feel like my people. Last, yes, but not dead, but dead f**king last. Those who truly love Type 2 fun. Yeah, that’s me too.

3 miles in 28:40. Felt really really good. More like they were starting to feel consistently a month or so back. I wish I had time to go 4.

Re: The Running Thread
No running week continues for me with a very relaxing reflexology and massage session today. He really worked my recently sprained shoulder and it now feels like a well-oiled hinge. It's great to give your body a treat after a solid year of stacking miles.

Re: The Running Thread
I was thinking of doing the r2d thing and strapping a 30 pound bag of beans on my back. The course is flat so it shouldn't really be a big deal.

Thoughts on getting weighted bracelets so I can do curls while I run and get ripped?

Thank you. I can’t go tomorrow so thinking about doing a slowish 3 miles tonight. My legs feel good enough right now.

I can't remember the last time I went on a run. Short one on Thanksgiving maybe? Enjoying the bike for now.

Re: The Running Thread
Good man. The first thing I did before my revamped steel frame was truly road ready was install strapped pedals, but that's as far as I'll go.

I’ve decided to force myself to attempt to go in 34 degree weather tomorrow morning. Pray for me.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Thank you. I can’t go tomorrow so thinking about doing a slowish 3 miles tonight. My legs feel good enough right now.
