Iron Man - 3.75/4
Iron Man 2 - 3.05/4
Thor - 1.4/4
Captain America: The First Avenger - 2.5/4
Next up is The Avengers, ugh. Why am I doing this?

Criterion just put up a huge Hitchcock collection, so I'm trying to go through to fill the gaps I haven't seen. So far I've seen Sabotage and The Lady Vanishes. They were both good, especially the latter, but I think I'm only just coming up to some of his best ones.

Nice, I had the same plan---to watch some that I'd never seen. I'm planning to watch Foreign Correspondent, Shadow of a Doubt, Marnie, and Torn Curtain.digster wrote:Criterion just put up a huge Hitchcock collection, so I'm trying to go through to fill the gaps I haven't seen. I loved it. Beautiful scenery, great performances. Nice slow burning plot with a few twists and surprises. I saw a bunch of headlines like "The Ending EXPLAINED" before watching it, so I was maybe expecting something a bit more ambiguous at the end. But the ending was perfect.VinylGuy wrote:How was it?ghost wrote:Finished The Power of the Dog. On to Annette.
One thing that confused me:

Malloy! I have a movie for you. Not only is it very good but it is also on the Criterion Channel and I sense it may appeal to your radical leftist tendencies
It is called Canoa: A Shameful Memory
You should all watch this movie, it is Mexican and very good

Re: What movies are you watching?
Lenny, since last night you talked about loving David Thewliss, have you ever watched Divorcing Jack? It's this obscure Northern Irish black comedy from the 90s with a kind of Coen brothers vibe (sorta -- maybe more cartoony). I caught it on cable when I was a kid and it was pretty influential on me, I think

I'm going to go see the original Matrix on the big screen today. Never seen it on the big screen before, though I've probably seen it thirty times over my life
