I only listened once so far but I liked it. I mean it seems right down the line of what a Neil Young & Crazy Horse album would sound like. The only song I thought was cringey lyric wise was Canerican

This was a lovely interview. Zane did a good job of getting Neil to actually say stuff of substancejoostone wrote:

Wow, I've missed a lot of Neil since I last checked in on his discog. I think the last album I checked out was Psychedelic Pill.
Giving Rust Bucket a listen today and it's loose as can be. I take it this is from the Ragged Glory era? The Zuma songs on there sound especially good.

Yep, I think it's from late '90 -- it's a great one, one of the best recent archive releases in my opinion.washing machine wrote:Wow, I've missed a lot of Neil since I last checked in on his discog. I think the last album I checked out was Psychedelic Pill.

I don't think you've missed out on much studio album-wise -- a few nice things here and there, but nothing essential. Lots of great archival stuff released since then though.

How fortunate of me to have switched to Amazon Music a few months ago, considering I'm on a little Neil Young kick as of late.

Re: The Official Neil Young Thread
are you really shocked though? I mean, rogan probably makes spotify a hell of a lot more money than Neil. Neil begrudgingly put his music on spotify to begin with. Im sure spotify doesnt give a shit about neil.tragabigzanda wrote:honestly shocked they went with Rogan/free speech over Young/sanityE.H. Ruddock wrote:Looks like Spotify is taking Neil’s stuff down

Re: The Official Neil Young Thread
NY made a cultural impact 50 years ago. Rogan makes one now. That and the $100 million contract Rogan has with Spotify was all that you had to know to know who Spotify was going with.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.
