McP, whatever happened to that kid whose soul you crushed?
I didn't crush it. I took it. And the kid signed a contract, so I'm hardly the bad guy here.
Also, nobody ever seems to want to acknowledge the part where I gave it BACK. I took the pictures, I kept it on my desk for a few weeks, threw it around and dropped it a time or two...and then I magnanimously returned it to its owner. Lesson learned, I thought. Maybe John would walk the straight and narrow.

Would you go for something like this?:
Seriously, Getaway sounds like a pretty fun song and I think its just fine for Ed to have fun listening to it. Its okay to enjoy the songs you write.
Yea, Getaway doesn't take itself too seriously. And Ed rockin out in his car to his own song? As a shitty musician, I know I've done it to my own songs.

There have been more?
Oh yeah, every little tiny criticism I make of anything gets invalidated by someone in a band.
Just to be clear, I wasn't trying to invalidate you or anyone else. I'm not a judgmental person at all, I was just explaining how I reacted to my own music, so I can understand how another musician would do the same thing.

How's it going sarge ?
Not bad, thanks man. Still got a lot going on IRL which is keeping me occupied, and is helping with repressing the urge to listen to leaks. How about yourself?
