PlayStation Plans New Service to Take On Xbox Game Pass

This has been rumored for a long time, but seems like a natural step for Sony given the back catalog of PS Plus offerings, PS1-PS3 games, and first party titles. Not a home run by any stretch since GamePass has been around for so long.
Excellent, it's about time...

Saw Jason Scheirer say that new first party games won’t come to Sony’s version of Gamepass but its a good start. Wonder what the pricing tiers will be for those three tiers.

I could see them coming to the service eventually (like 2 years after release or something).

Nice. Though i do hope that the game offerings are more than just the current crop of Now games and past PS+ titles. I'll be mostly curious to see what PS3 games are included.

Look forward to playing some of the lead PS4 exclusives, as I’ve not had a Playstation since Playstation 2. Like God Of War and Bloodborne.

Look forward to Gran Turismo 7.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Looks interesting.

Will get FIFA 22, Destiny 2 and Civ 6, even if I have them on Xbox.

What games do you recommend? Old or new games.

As far as exclusive games? Trying to limit these to what is actually playable on the PS5 via backwards combability (and not on PS Now). These are somewhat ranked. You can't go wrong with any of these if the genre interests you.

Last of Us
Bloodborne
God of War
Last of Us Part Two
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Demon's Souls (PS5 remake)
Uncharted 4
Spider-Man
Ghost of Tsushima
Uncharted: Lost Legacy
Returnal
Resogun
Uncharted Collection
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
Sound Shapes
Shadow of the Colossus

Haven't played but have heard great things:
Spider-Man-Miles Morales
Persona 5 Golden
Final Fantasy VII Remake

Thank you very much. Yes, exclusives are the best for old games for sure, since I’ve had and have other machines. As for new PS5 era games, it doesn’t have to be an exclusive.

For sure. I consider the PS4 library to be arguably the best ever, so there is a lot to explore.

MD nailed it, but if I can just make special call outs to Last of Us (play it, even if it's a PS3 game), Last of Us 2, and God of War. All are easily on my top 10 all time list.

The white looks so slick in my current setup, but I know many have been clamoring for a black option. Everybody wins!

Still says that they will deliver it today, but the status saying «in the warehouse», hasn’t changed for 24 hours.
