Re: The Weight Loss Thread
i wore 32 waist pants forever...at least a year ago i started a stack of clothes that either i didn't like or didn't fit anymore to donate...i haven't got to getting rid of them, but earlier i pulled a pair of 32 waist jeans off the top of the stack and they fit very well
made me feel pretty okay
made me feel pretty okay

Re: The Weight Loss Thread
I let myself get up to 249.5. Been back on Weight Watchers for 2 weeks, and I'm down to 240.5.
Snoring and sleep apnea has improved.
I can't believe that a year ago I got under 220, but I guess I'll try to get there again.

Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Re: The Weight Loss Thread
I’ve lost in the 5-10 pound range since the holidays. I should probably start running or biking to keep it going. Would like to lose 15-20 more.

Re: The Weight Loss Thread
Down to 179 lbs from my all time high around 208 in just a couple of years. Went through a couple of annual 30 day crash diets over the last two years that are designed more for long-term understanding of what good eating feels like as opposed to short term results. Lessons stuck I guess.
There's also the consistent running schedule to thank, but as I understand it, cardio itself isn't really a good weight loss method. I suspect the natural improvement in diet that good cardio demands has more to do with weight loss than the workouts themselves, since you really want to maintain an even calorie trade-off for fuel reasons.
Anyway, it feels good to feel fit. Slow and low effort is definitely the way to go versus any one diet or workout plan.

Actually I have mostly argo to thank. His wildy successful vegan thread is a huge inspiration for my plant-centric approach to eating.

Re: The Weight Loss Thread
I plan to lose 10 pounds by early March or so. Would like to add more core strength as well. Starting right before the holidays is a great idea.

Nah, just cutting calories, avoiding late night snacks, and cutting down on the alcohol routine I developed during COVID WFH.washing machine wrote:That's awesome, MD. You following any specific plan?

I meant for core strength, but still.
Strength training is something I'm interested in for 2022 but don't really know where to start.

Re: The Weight Loss Thread
Oh, mostly YouTube yoga videos and a few exercises from back in the day. Just looking to increase my flexibility and core strength for my back. Not really interested in bulking up much.washing machine wrote:![]()
