Overall, I'm not sure S2 of The Great quite reached the heights of the first season. It finished very strongly though. Those last couple episodes might have been the best of the series. Still one of the best shows currently going.

I'm only on ep 5. But I'm still totally loving it. Can't wait to finish it up and actually talk about it.

Gotcha. I’m thinking of somebody else. In some ways I feel there are similarities. Mainly in the main cast and their interactions and general relationships with each other.Rangi Guy wrote:Nah, Parks and Rec was top notchlennytheweedwhacker wrote:Rangi do I recall correctly you also considering Parks and Rec mediocre?Rangi Guy wrote:I only really ever watched this as a background type thing while I was doing other stuff. Yeah, this lost momentum for me a few eps into S2. We'll finish it here at the house, but currently sidetracked by Mayor of Kingstown. What a detour this is becoming.Farmer John wrote:Overall, I'm not sure S2 of The Great quite reached the heights of the first season. It finished very strongly though. Brooklyn 99 is the dollar store version of the classic ensemble comedies of the early aughts (P&R, The Office and 30 Rock)lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Gotcha. I’m thinking of somebody else. It's ok, but it's not nearly as funny as it thinks it is.

Mayor of Kingstown is pretty much just a really violent metaphor for restaurant management, I've decided.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Finished Dopesick. Part of me wants to start something new, but I should probably go back to a season of Lost or Dexter. I also still need to finish Mr. Robot, but I think I should re-watch season 3 first.

Every character got a Sorkin-esque monologue, when the cop started in on his five minute long 9/11 racism story I could not stop laughing.

Two eps into Only Murders in the Building. Very good, and not exactly what I was expecting.
