Excited we are winning games but more excited about the way things are going down.
the Sox are just probably happy to see Mo go LOL
I have found it funny when everyone heaps all the praise on Helton, class act, did things right, stayed clean... ummm... he got busted drinking and driving just this last year? yeah, thats not so classy lol

Sox fans have had a soft spot for Rivera ever since opening day 2005.

I actually thought their Rivera tribute thing was pretty classless. It's nice that they gave money to his charity(though the fact that they didnt say how much leads me to believe it wasnt much.) It was more like a roast than a tribute, they did nothing but bust his balls over that blown save.

To be honest with you, I didn't see any of the tribute.

My Indians winning the pennant pick in sprig training doesn't look so crazy now.

Well, not now, no. But back then? Wait, the Indians winning the pennant still sounds a little crazy, Mick.

Yeah, it still looks crazy. The Indians split record against teams over .500 vs teams under is astounding. They rarely can beat a good team, so I don't see them going far in the playoffs.

no, but considering what happened to that Angels pitcher just a couple seasons ago? Its not like its a laughing matter either, and the funny part about it, is ive heard Helton mention/talk about it more in his retiring comments then the interviewers, hes not running from it, but the media is acting like its taboo...

So, you are demanding that people talk more about his DUI as the rest of the league celebrates his great career? It's not relevant, why bring it up for any reason other than dragging him down from what should be a great moment for him?

I'm praying so hard for a play-in to the play-in in the AL that it's ridiculous.

no, but how can you say "hes a class act / did the right things"
what? because he was a class act and was never busted for 15+ years we can ignore a drinking and driving charge? but we should hang a rookie out to dry for making that mistake? because hes not proven to be a class act??? thats just stupid. He has actually has a chance to be outspoken about the stupidity of drinking and driving, and help make people more aware of how stupid it is by being outspoken about it, but it seems the baseball talking heads would rather not mention it in case they tarnish his great career... what does that teach kids? that if youre a great player, you can get away with a lot more.

Way 2 go Marlins on the last game of the year.

This is a pretty awesome scenario that MLB has concocted.
