I'm not watching any of the Disney + MCU series, so maybe there's an explanation in there

No. There is no explanation required. It's just kind of random. You are overthinking it.

Michael Keaton is in the Morbius trailer so maybe it is still to be fleshed out

The real reason is they didn't want to recast J Jonah Jameson because JK Simmons is too iconic and perfect in the role

Yeah, having him there makes the big moment at the end of the second movie all that much more of a cliffhanger. But now it feels cheap because it's unlike everyone else

It's just kind of random. Don't think about it

The very concept of a multiverse means this can all be handwaved away. Infinite possibilities. They don't all have to look different

What does bother me is when the movie contradicts itself (like the aforementioned Electro thing, and the Flash getting into MIT thing)

Jorge's right. It's important sometimes to remind myself that these are kids movies. Don't go too deep

Yes they are inherently stupid

Also there are a few especially stupid things in this particular movie

Wouldn't the world be populated by infinite Parkers since Peter remembers who he is?

The movie's (again, stupid) explanation is that "some of them squeaked through"

I also thought it was funny that Ned and MJ conveniently stopped searching for more Peters after they found the two famous ones

What if there were a whole bunch more?! Keep looking! They could've had a big Spider-team

I was kinda hoping there would be a nod to the Spider-verse movie.

I hate the MCU Spider-Man cast, so I was bored to tears by the first 40 minutes or so. But it was pretty fun when the villains and other Spider-Mans showed up.

The black Spider-Man bit?

Someone should have stuck a Spider-Ham easter egg in there.
