It's just funny that you're clearly trying to engage in a debate about the mask mandates but the way you've chosen to get to it is Eric Clapton. We have a whole subforum for that sorta thing! http://forums.theskyiscrape.com/viewforum.php?f=5

I was browsing the Clapton thread and saw the condescending post about him. Then I replied. I guess only people who think the way you do should post about mandates in this thread… You didn’t take issue when that happened.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm laughing at you because the anti-mandate thing is the very least of his scummy qualities. Maybe you would like to argue about his ironic and well-known racism (which doesn't seem to have changed despite his claims), his aggressive anti-vaccine agenda, his recent escpades suing old ladies for unknowingly dumping bootleg CD's that belonged to someone else (which you've already tried and failed to defend) or the fact that he hasn't done anything good or creative in the last 50 years that could be used to justify any of this douchey behavior.

I don’t defend his decision to sue anyone. Like I said I don’t know about the specifics of that story. If he’s unjustly suing someone, that sucks regardless of who is being sued.

I forgot one...he writes a love song about his friend's wife and then steals her away afterwards.

A man with so many admirable qualities.

Cream was pretty great. I like Blind Faith but more from the Winwood angle than the Clapton and yes whatever combination of lusting for his buddies wife and heroin got the most passionate performances of his career out of him with Derek and the Dominoes that completely evaporated once he got her. Then decades of boring blues rock. I'll admit I have some nostalgic value for those boring songs since when I was 10 I thought songs like It's in The Way That You Use It was fire. As an adult yeah they aren't very good but there are still times when those generic songs come on I can become 10 years old for 3-4 mins before coming to my senses.

I gotta admit I had no idea how douchy he was before this thread and a lot of it made me laugh pretty hard. He's really an awful dude.
