Saddam had gotten away with genocide, invading another country, and led a terrible dictatorship with continous atrocities. Iraq is now a democracy, with 15 million more citizens than during Saddam’s reign. The whole WMD reasoning was wrong, but getting rid of the world’s worst dictator was right.

Why are you so high on Biden? I haven't paid much attention to his presidency so just curious.
It's a weak field, and I'm still hoping to get some of that sweet sweet infrastructure money so I've gotta suck up a little
Do you think he reads RM?

Maybe I'm getting confused with GH's alternate history thread, but Nixon did some good things, folks. Reagan & HW Bush can go F themselves with their 12-year run, same with W. Bush. I wish Dems had stormed the capital and Gore had only recognized the electors that were picking him. That would have been nice.

People assume Nixon was bad because he resigned under impeachment, but what he did would barely make the news these days.

Like prolonging the terrible Vietnam war for political gain, and rightfully resigning after criminal acts.

I'm not going that far. He resigned while under impeachment because what he did was bad (then & now). He also negotiated with the Vietnamese undermining Johnson in order to get elected. But some of what he did while in office gets overlooked as good for the country/planet.

That also doesn't make what others do now any more right or forgiving.

I don't think it's fair to include Biden since we're less than 1 year into his Presidency. So I'm taking him out and adding Johnson.

Also, this is really hard because no matter how good any of them have done they've done some awful, awful things as well.

LBJ
Obama
Carter
Clinton
Ford
Bush
Nixon
GWB
Trump
Reagan

And Ford and Bush Sr. were both below Dems.
