Last year. Lots. You and I would ramble on for ages about it.

Um... no I didn't. I don't watch it. I tweeted about Masterchef all the time, and also the Eurovision Song Contest.

Ughhh that thing. It's the weirdest music competition in Europe.

That's why it's so good. But let's be honest, there isn't a music competition in Europe that isn't weird.

The thing is it's huge and essentially irrelevant at the same time. The music is supposed to be extremely commercial yet it rarely produces actual hits.

I'm failing to understand why any of this is a problem. It's highly camp and extremely funny and good to watch while drinking.

It is? I should try. I've never managed to watch the whole thing.

Most people watch it for the hilarity, and most of the performers know this so they camp it up as much as possible. Most of the singles are too ridiculous to do very well commercially outside of the competition itself. Just occasionally they're just this side of the line of farcical, so they do well.

That's the thing you see. Here it was taken fairly seriously up until very recently. Hell we sent a soprano a couple of years ago and she's super proud she was 8th or something. All this does enhance the hilarity though.

I think UK takes it's the least seriously considering how big your music industry is. I'm sure it's a stereotype for the LGBT community everywhere it's big enough it certainly is here, we sent 3 drag queens once.

OK. Probably yes. They're supposedly playing Europe in the spring/summer. They booked Italy's biggest stadium/concert venue for July i believe.
