In the way that VG means it (and you seemingly mean it here), I don't disagree.Mickey wrote:I do not think female Ghostbusters is meaningful. A blip in the culture war. I'd already forgotten about it.

So what would those cultural reasons be, then.

Re: What movies are you watching?
A Beautiful Mind.
Closing out the year with just my wife and daughter at home. We’ll eat some good food, and have fun together. I’ll work from home for just a few hours tomorrow, and she has the day off.
Like most couples we do some things together, and others (like my gaming or watching sports), we do apart. We do watch a substantial amount of movies together, very happy that we have a shared interest there. However, she had no initial interest in my project to watch a curated list of movies from each year, starting with 1918. Any movie I had watched in 20-21 would go on the list, but not earn a rewatch. Any other movie I had seen before, and still put on the list, would need a rewatch.
Once I got to the 50s-60s she watched a few with me. From the mid 80s she wanted to watch all but a few. That slowed us down to movies during family time.
Had a thought that we would finish all movies up to and including 2001 by the end of the year, and here we are. Just a few movies left after this one. All a rewatch for me, but look forward to seeing them again.
