A couple of the 90s bands with 80s sounding debuts

Bleach is cool but nowhere on the level of the other 2.. I dunno how you count incesticide, it's prob better than that

NWA and the posse comes to mind.. which has cool spots but it's like bleach where it's nowhere near the other 2 or even 3 if you count the ep

The stones opener prob isn't good but it's better than the later stuff just because of time is on my side.. same with NIN phm has something I can never have, which alone ranks it over half their later discography

That's just silly. Their last few albums have been complete garbage, while their debut isn't bad at all.

I assume you are talking about License to Ill? Or do you count Polly Wog as their first "album"?

Radiohead, agreed. Nirvana, really hard to say. Beatles, no way (Yellow Submarine is the worst, but if you don’t count that then Beatles For Sale). Beastie Boys, not sure but I don’t think so. Stones, no effin’ way (I could find almost 15 Stones albums I prefer less).
I don’t think Yellow Submarine counts. If it does, Only a Northern Song, Hey Bulldog and It’s All Too Much are so good, I’d still have trouble calling it their worst.
It’s one of these:

Please Please Me
With the Beatles
Beatles for Sale

"Time Is On My Side" is on the second Stones album, both in the US and UK.

I have a real soft spot for Please Please Me, I reach for it much more often than I do some of the other pre-Rubber Soul Beatles albums.

There’s a certain rawness to embrace and live feeling from them banging this one out in a day. It’s the best album pre-Help!

I'd rate TIB ahead of every post-1992 Cure album.

It's at least fun and enjoyable to listen to.
